Workmanship

Let’s look at Ephesians 2:10.

For we are His creation (workmanship, masterpiece), created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.

Creation:

an original product of the mind, especially an imaginative artistic work:

Workmanship :

1. the art or skill of a workman or workwoman.

2. the quality or mode of execution, as of a thing made.

3. the product or result of labor and skill; work executed.

Masterpiece:

a person's greatest piece of work, as in an art.

You are His creation!

You are His workmanship!

You are His masterpiece!

Why is it so difficult sometimes for us to believe that we are this amazing created masterpiece? That we aren’t good enough?

I want to tell you a true story I heard about a little girl who had this great dad, who told her everyday how sweet she was, how precious she was to him, how smart she was and how beautiful she was.  She knew she was his princess.  Now, this little girl was 5 years old and went to school one day.  There was a little boy who got angry with her and told her that she was ugly and stupid!  Her mother said, “I didn’t even know that she knew what those words meant!” But, she stood up, threw her shoulders back and told that little boy, “NO, I’m not! I am smart and beautiful, because my daddy told me so!”

How is it that we stop believing what our Daddy says about us? How is it that we stop believing what those important people in our lives say about us?

We let the world start speaking LIES into our ears and we start believing those lies!

You’re God says that you are His MASTERPIECE!! That should be enough!  It should be enough for us to be able to throw our shoulders back and tell the world that our Daddy says different and that’s all that matters!

I pray that you will come to that realization that He’s the One that matters.  He’s the One speaking TRUTH into your heart.  You need only to listen.
